Fine Art Awareness

Exposes our students to art and music at an elementary level. Volunteer parents introduce students to a different musician and/or artist each month. Volunteers are also needed to develop lesson plans and activities to carry out in the classrooms.

Community Outreach

Responsible for teaching students the importance of helping others within the community through various charitable drives.  The committee’s main emphasis will be on assisting our sister school, Brown Elementary, with their many needs. Volunteers are needed to help coordinate drives, collect donated goods and research the needs of the charitable organizations.

For events at school where high attendance is expected, the Parking Chair will Schedule volunteers or hired police officers to assist with limo pickup areas, and schedule volunteers or hired police officers to assist with parking at the school

Relay for Life

Supports Ford’s teachers in their effort to support Relay For Life which is a fun-filled overnight event designed to celebrate survivorship and raise money for research and programs of your American Cancer Society. During the event, teams of people gather at schools, fairgrounds, or parks and take turns walking or running laps. Each team tries to keep at least one team member on the track at all times

   

 

Room Mom

Coordinates the duties/activities of the designated Room Representatives.  Works closely with teachers to arrange special help and support for celebrations, field trips and other functions, as needed.
