"Every Child, One Voice!"
Community Outreach will be collecting new school supplies, gently used backpacks, and new, packaged socks and underwear to donate to The Giving Tree in Acworth. This will help with the back to school event held in August. Please bring items to Ford April 28th through May 9th. A box will be located at the entrance to the school. Thank you for your generosity in helping families in our area!

The following information has been provided by your Georgia Neighbor, Caroline Schaefer.
Here are 10 ideas for water conservation;
1) Run your washing machine and dishwasher only when completely full
2) Use a timer or clock to take a faster shower
3) Put buckets in the shower while your waiting for the hot water (4-7 gallons saved, use on your plants)
4) Put a gallon milk jug, cut top off and put under your AC unit where it drips outside (a gallon a day can accumulate, use it for plants. Ford Elementary School does this in the school)
5) Men and Ladies: use electric razors or put a pool of water in the sink instead of running water to shave.
6) Don’t brush your teeth with the water running.
7) Collect grey water from dish washing, draining veggies and pasta by using a basin in the sink.
8) Recycle water left in water bottles by dumping on plants.
9) Pee twice, flush once, put a sign out (this is a better option then not being able to flush at all!)
10) Don’t cheat and water your landscaping or wash your car, no one may catch you but in the end everyone loses especially our children. We want them to follow the rules of life, set a good example!
